IN MEMQRIAM DOING WELL Looks Picture of Health in Winter Quarters Trainer Gilmore Says Colt Is Another Exterminator. LOUISVILLE, Ky.. Feb. 4. Many inquiries have been received here during the last month relative to how Carl Wiedemanns great colt. In Memoriam, is wintering. A visit to Churchill Downs found the colt looking the picture of health. He has taken on considerable flesh and, while he has only been given light exercise gallops at various times during the winter, he appears as if ready to begin arduous spring training at a minutes notice. "We are going to take a crack at Zev the first opportunity," said trainer Gilmore, "and then the world will know which is the best horse. I dont believe it is going to be a race when In Memoriam meets Zev over a long route of ground. "We are going after Zev this year and not wait for him to come after us," said Gilmore. "Mr. Wiedemann has entered the big horse in all the big handicaps and stakes in the east and, barring mishaps, you are going to see another Exterminator turned loose."
