Won driving; second and third 1 the same. CARK FREE began quickly and. racing in his best form, showed the most speed from the start and outstayed PAUL MICOU. The latter raced forwardly and well from the start and was wearing the winner down at the end. FIFTY-FIFTY had no mishaps and finished fast. SLIPPERY I LLM was allowed to drop far out of it in the early stages and closed a big gap in the stretch. CORAL REEF was under hard restraint in the stretch, Lang appearing to have lost his stirrups. MADAM VENNIE dropped out of it in the first quarter then moved up with a rush entering the stretch and, ence more falling back, came again under hard riding and cutstayed DESPARD. The latter would have been an easy second had McDermott continued riding him hard in the last sixteenth. PHOEBE SNOW began badly and tired after going five-ei"hth? ennuis.
