Won handily; secoud am! third driving. KL ASTRO raced into a good lead in the first quarter and, holding it well, outstayed GLADYS V. The latter gained steadily from a slow beginning and, with a stronger rider, would piooably have wen. TROUTWICK began tiring in the last eighth after having raced forwardly from the start. McINTOSII tired after running a good three-quarters. GRANDEST was a prominent contender until .reaching the last eighth. HENRY J. quit afler going a half mile. JACKSON saved much ground on the turns and came fast through the stretch. GOLDMARK ran a good race and came gamely through the stretch. LADY CHOCO raced forwardly until in the last eighth where she tired. F EH RAH quit after being buffeted about considerably. The others were always far back. RUBY, showing much improved form, raced into a good lead at once and, coming agaiu near the end after seeming to tire, would have won in another stride. HIDDEN JEWEL was always outrun. The hitter was far back in the early racing, but saved much ground when coming into the stretch and finished fast and gamely. BRILLIANT CAST raced ; into a gfod lead, but began tiring after reaching the stretch. INVICTUS dropped back in the stretch, i KING ONEILL II. was badly outraced. FREEZY SNEEZY raced prcminently and, taking the lead, only succumbed right at the end. MARGARET WARE saved much ground when coming into the stretch and, under hard riding, outstayed the others. ESCARPOLETTE closed a big gap. SEA-WOLF tired. STUMP JR. was done after going three-quarters. BUCADO began slowly and showed a brief Hash of speed, but quit badly in the stretch. CORAL REEF raced into a clear lead on the last turn and also quit.
