FRANCES VICTORIA showed much speed in the going and finished gamely. LITTLE SHASTA made a game finish and just managed to outstay WHU GIRL. The latter finished fast. Won driving; second and third the same. MARY ELLEN O. moved up steadily while minding the last turn and, forcing to the front when an eighth out, held JOSEPHINE NEWELL safe to the end. The latter showed much the most early speed and, after being passed, made a game finish. SEBA closed a big gap and ran a good race from a poor beginning. HASTEN ON also closed a great gap. Won easily; second and third driving. DUTY BOY, a slow beginner, moved up fast while rounding the far turn and, catching SLY FOX tiring in the stretch, passed him quickly to win casiug up. BARDALID steadily improved his position and outgamed SLY FOX. The latter tired after racing into the lead. SERENA showed speed, but was done when turning for home.
