CREAM PUFF began slowly and was taken back in the first sixteenth, but slipped through next to the rail when entering the stretch and raced into a sufficient lead in the last eighth. WANDERLUST was forced wide when entering the stretch, but made a fast finish and outganied MAY BAXTER. The latter set a fast pace, but tired. IRISH LACE had no mishaps. ROSITA quit. DALY, away poorly, dropped back in the early running, but finished with a rush after making a wide turn into the stretch, and won drawing clear. SMITE ran well and outganied GILDER for second place. LADY DELHI ran a good race, but tired in the last eighth. HUMORIST began slowly and. being made too much use of in racing to the front, tired in the stretch.
