BROWN TROUT raced forwardly from the start and was going good at the end. LITTLE JIMMY raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and tired. WILBUR C. WHITEHEAD came fast in the last sixteenth. Won handily; second and third driving. GEORGE STARR was away fast and, racing into the lead with a rush, set a gocd pace and outstayed MOUNT PLEASANT. The latter ran away a quarter of a mile before the start, but set the early pace and outgamcd DANDYBRUSH for second place. DANDYBRUSH was going well at the end. HYSTERIA ran well, but tired near the end. WOODLAND QUEEN finished well. SAGAMORE began poorly and closed an immense gap in the last quarter. RAFFLES was allowed ot drop far back after going the first quarter, but came with a rush in the stretch. MERCURY ran a good race, but tired in the stretch. BARRACUDA had no mishaps. BRILLIANT CAST began well and, racing in closest pursuit for the entire way, made a resolute finish. RINKEY gained steadily in the stretch and was going fast at the end. FRANKMAN ran a good race, but was outpaced. POLVO was helped by the going and ran fairly well. THORNDALE was done after going a half mile. The others were never prominent. LLEWELLYN was taken back to last place in the first quarter and raced wide on the turns, but closed an immense gap and finished gamely. WINNER TAKE ALL closed a gap from a slow beginning. EDWARD GRAY was far back all the way. BltUNELL bumped against the fence and, injuring his rider, was taken out of the race in the stretch. PIEDMONT retired after going a half mile. AL STI1BLER ran against a fence, causing an Injury to his rider, and was pulled up in the first half mile.
