A. ML. EARLOCKER DEAD Well-Known Racing Secretary of Saratoga and Belmont Park Track Taken by Death. NEW YORK. N. Y., March 30. A. McL. Earlocker, for twenty-two years racing secretary of the Saratoga Association and for ten years witli the Westchester Racing Association in a similar capacity, died at his heme in Leonia, N. J., Sunday morning at 9 oclock. He was sixty years old. Mr. Earlocker was a native of Maryland. He was in the hotel business before M. F. Dwyer, one of the owners of the old Gravesend race track, brought him into racing. His first work in connection with the turf was under the supervision of H. D. Mclntyre. who was secretary of the Brooklyn Jockey Club. In 1901 Mr. Earlocker became secretary of tho Saratoga Association and in 1914 lie assumed a similar position with the Westchester Racing Association. Since that time he had conducted both oflices until last fall, when his failing health forced him to relinquish his duties. Ho was sent to Florida by his employers in the hope that a change o climate would help him to recover. He did not remain in Florida long. He expressed a desire to return home and was at Leonia most of the winter. Several- weeks aso all hope for his recovery was abandoned. He was the victim of a general breakdown and had been unconscious for nearly a month prior to his death. Funeral services will be held at his late heme, 337 Sylvan Avenue, Loonia, Monday evening at S oclock. Interment, scheduled for Tuesday morning, will bo private. Mr. Earlocker is survived by his wife, Gertrude, and a daughter.
