WIDENERS FRENCH STRING American Owners Horses Have Wintered Well at Chantilly Quarters. SPECIAL. CORRESPONDENCE. PARIS, France, March 7. Jerry Welsh has twenty-six horses in the Widener stable at Chantilly. Ho says that he did little or nothing with his two two-year-olds last fall. He broke them and taught them to run a couple of hundred yards, but asked them nothing seriously. He has some good-looking horses in his string, and they have wintered well. Carnation, the two-year-old crack, has wintered excellently, and Doddles also has had a good winter.
