SHERMAN, away well, raced to the fn nt quickly and set a fast pace through the backstietch. then was given a breathing spell and, saving ground on the last tarn, was ridden out to outhnish l"OP SKARGEANT. The latter raced close up throughout and made a game finish, but was held safe. HF.LIHRIZONIA was a forward contender throughout, but tired badly in the linal drive. Won easily; second and third driving. AUTUMN BELLS outjumped his opponents and. showing the most speed on the flat, drew away into an easy lead and was never threatened. PARLAYS was under restraint for the first turn of the field and, moving up gamely when .ailed on. passed BLACK FOX and outfinished REGALIA. REGALIA was outrun for the first turn, but finished fast through the final half mile BLACK FOX lest much ground at the jumps and ran a good race, but tired badly. SEA SERlENT raced prominently for the first turn of the field. RAMPAGE and UERRIARD were always outrun. ST. LAWRENCE fell at the seventh jump.
