NIGHT SHADE was rushed into a long lead at once and easily won from the start to finish. BETTY MALONEY raced ASEKKET into defeat, but could not reach the winner. . MASTER BLUE saved ground at the head of the stretch and finished gamely. ASEKKET tired and quit in the stretch. HELEN BUCK raced on the outside all the way. Overweight Miss Bezetto, 1VJ pounds. Won driving; second and third the same. LOYTERER followed CIRCUIT closely under restraint and, taking the lead, was going away at the finish. CIRCUIT jumped cleanly and displayed the most speed to the last quarter, but tired when challenged. LINKS jumped well and finished in a manner to indicate future improvement. GAY KAP tired. GREYBOURNE came fast through the stretch and finished gamely. WEDDING PRINCE lost much ground on the first turn and never recovered it. TRAIL BLAZER tired badly after leading for three-quarters. SARKO saved, ground on the turns and, coming to the outside of JOY SMOKE in the stretch, drew alongside, but tired. CANO was outrun, but finished well. LUCKY ANTOINE was knocked back to fifth place on the first rum, but gained steadily under patient riding and, by coming around the leaders, raced to the front in the stretch, but was swerving in at the end. INSULATE raced with the leaders all the way and saved ground on the turns, but tired slightly in the stretch drive. ALTISSIMO loomed up dangerously at the eighth post, but tired.
