JUPITER showed the most speed and, set-ling a good pace, came gamely through the stretch. HARRY B. ran a good race, bat tired in the stretch. JOHN Q. KELLY raced forwardly for the entiie race. HUONEC came from far back in the stretch. FLOWER SHOP and RUBY quit. BROWN SUGAR was taken back and ridden wide into the stretch, but finished fast and gamely. HURRY INN raced prominently all the way. ZUKER was always outrun. PYROOT was tiring through the last eighth. The latter ran a good race and fought but the finish gamely, but tired slightly near the end. CHAPLET came from far back in the last quarter. STUMP JR. closed a gap. The latter set a great pace, but began tiring in the last eighth r.nd just lasted to save second place. KING ONEILL II. closed a big gap and finished gamely. SANOLA ran well. HUON PINE was taken back sharply in the first quarter and came fast in the stretch. PEARL MESTA was close up when she quit and appeared to have broken her right hind leg at the ankle.
