1 FAIR LATONIA DAILY TURF GOSSIP AT NOTED KENTUCKY TRACK LATONIA, Ky., June 27. : Jockey" J. Kederis has contracted to ride for Harned Brothers and Jones stable. Montfort and B. B. Jones, arrived today for the purpose of witnessing their Lord Martin run in the Derby. William Shelley, who will officiate at Race-land, was among the arrivals and after a brief visit will go to Ashland to take up preliminary duties in connection with the coming meeting. The contract on the clever apprentice, R. Williams, who has been riding here for the stable of E. B. McLean, has been secured from Woods Garth and the youngster will continue to ride under the direction of trainer J. F. Schorr. Will Perkins has sent Afternoon Tea, Prances Johnson and Tundergod to Dan W. Scotts farm near Lexington to be turned out Perkins has arranged to ship eight horses to Hawthorne Sunday night in charge of J. McNamara. Hon. William A. Perry, presiding officer of the state senate and acting governor of Kentucky, will be present at Latonia Saturday to see the Derby run. He will present the beautiful souvenir given by the Kentucky Jockey Club to the winner of the Cincinnati Trophy. Jockey D. Hum, who was suspended for ten days for rough riding, was granted permission by the stewards to ride stake engagements for his contract employer, Gif-ford A. Cochran. This accounts for his name being listed as rider on Revenue Agent and Flying Ebony, respective starters in the Latonia Derby and Cincinnati Trophy.
