Start good and slow. Won handily; second and third driving. PEDAGOGUE was outrun to the stretch, but worked his way up on the outside and swerved over slightly on Edisto at the eighth post, but finished fast and outstayed GOLDEN SPIRE in the final drive. The latter showed the most good speed from the start and saved ground where possible, but tired near the end. EDISTO raced forwardly from the start and made a game finish. SKIT saved ground on all the turns and finished well. HOBSON closed up some ground. URBANNA showed early speed, but quit. ROCK BASS showed the most speed and jumped well, led under slight restraint and, withstanding a challenge from PARLAYS, outstayed him in the final drive. PARLAYS had a rough race and, meeting with repeated interference frcm the winner, tired badly at the end. GRAYLETTE was always outrun, but closed up some ground in the last half. RUMMEL showed early speed. STOCKMAR raced well for the first turn of the field. PRICKLE stumbled and almost fell over RAMPAGE when the latter fell at the fifth jump. DICK WHITTINGTON began well, but was outrun early and, following the pacemaker closely, came cn the outside on the stretch turn and raced into a clear lead, but tired badly at the finish and just lasled to win. WHITE WINGS showed the most early speed and came again at the end. FOLLY COAT swerved sideways at the start and lost many lengths by coming wide on the stretch turn, but finished fast. SCOOP showed the most early speed and set a fast pace, but was tiring at the end. KELLERMAN gained steadily and finished fast on the outside. ROMANY finished with a rush on the inside. CEYLON PRINCE began slowly. LEVOY had no mishaps. The latter ran a good race throughout and was sharply interfered with at the eighth post by the winner and was forced to be taken up when against the inside rail. A foul was not allowed. LEOPARDESS ran well, but tired. MISS STAR was sharply interfered with early and was not perseverrd with at the end. SALACIA began slowly. OHONE and MISS WHISK quit.
