LEGATION overcame early interference and, finishing with a rush, passed LUPINE and was going away at the end.- WARFARE ran a good race throughout and finished fast. LUPINE set a fast pace and drew away into a good lead, but tired badly in the stretch. BEN FRANKLIN was knocked back on the far turn, but came again. TRUE ROCK ran well. ALLIANCE met with interference. JONATHAN was shuffled back after the start. GRACE TROXLER was caught la a jam on the last turn and fell. Scratched 810733Crosswise, 112; S1979 Hons Meg, 107. BYNG followed the early leader under slight restraint and. racing to the front In the final turn of the field, withstood a challenge rom PARLAYS and outgamed him in the final drive. PARLAYS was saved under restraint and raced to the leaders with a rush when called on, but could not head the winner. THE TROUT was crowded at a couple of the jumps and tired at the end. ADAMANT ran a good race all the way and his rider lost his stirrup iron at the seventh jump, but regained it. BECK quit. RAMPAGK and FAIR MAC were always outrun. Overweight Fair Mac, 1 pound. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. APPREHENSION forced a fast early pace and, racing BRANTOME into defeat, took the lead and drew away to win in a canter. PEPP made a challenge on the stretch turn, but was tiring through the final eighth. THUNDERCLAP was taken to the outside on the stretch turn and finished gamely, but did not menace the leaders. McAULIFFE moved up after rounding the far turn, but tired badly when called on. ROMAN BACHELOR was always outpaced. BRANTOME set a fast early pace, but tired and quit badly. EXTREME, away well, followed the leaders closely and. coming on the outside of MASTER CHARLIE on the stretch turn, raced into the lead, but was inclined to loaf through the final eighth and was shaken up. STAMPDALE was outrun for the first half, but worked his way un steadily and closed a big gap. PAS SEUL began in a tangle, but found a clear course next to the inner rail and finished fast, but tiring. SUN HATHOR finished fast. MASTER CHARLIE set a fast pace, but tired badly near the end. FADDIST ran well. SOMBRE had no mishaps. SWOPE dropped back after the start and came again at the finish. Won driving; second and third the same. SKIRMISH raced into the lead on the backstretch and set the pace under slight restraint to the end. but forced VULCAIN. QUEEN, wide on the stretch turn and swerved back to the inner rail, for which she was disqualified. VULCAIN QUEEN set the early pace and followed SKIRMISH closely and, coming with a rush in the stretch, almost got up in the final strides. MAY PARTY moved up steadily after rounding the far turn and came wide on the stretch turn and finished fastest of all. MISS BELLE was always outrun and had no mishaps. LOCKERBIE began slowly. CYCLOPS was in close quarters in the early racing, but saved ground on the turns and outfinished LUCKY PLAY .In the final drive. The latter showed high speed in pacemaking and raced SNOB II. into defeat, but tired near the end. SNOB II. forced the pace and tired after racing into the lead. SAMARITAN finished well.
