HA WTHORNE News and Gossip of the Day at Chicagos Famous Track HAWTHORNE RACE TRACK, Aug. 27. Jockey S. Holecko who rode at Hawthorne earlier in the meeting arrived from Columbus. Jockey Collins was suspended for the remainder of tins meeting for rough riding in the second race. Jockey Ted Koerner, who attempted to stage a come-back at this meeting, has decided to foresake the saddle entirely due to the fact that he cannot get down to weight Pat Galliger, who is in charge of the jockey rooms on the Kentucky tracks, passed through Chicago today enroute to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where ho will act as racing secretary at the meeting to be given in that city. Jockey Eail Pool was in receipt of a lucrative offer from E. R. Bradley to come to Belmont Park and ride one cf the Bradley owned youngsters in the rich Futurity, to be run September 13. Pools engagement in the Covington Handicap at Latonia, to be run the same day, may prevent his acceptance. Trainer Kay Spence of the Audley Farm stable is rapidly disposing of the least desirable members of the establishment Wednesday he disposed of three. Polychresty and Fausto were sold to Charles Morris, a new recruit to racing and the horses were turned over to M. O. McDowell to train. Belzoni was sold to Will Perkins. .
