PARSONS COLORS TO FORE Hercules and Verdi Loon Carry His Silks to Victory at Toledo Thats the Time Wins. TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 28. With two winners to the credit of the stable, the pink jacket of J. A. Parsons was much in evidence at Fort Miami Park this afternoon. Hercules accounted for the Chamber of Commerce Purse, the sixth and principal attraction. Taking command rounding the far turn the son of Zeus held his opponents safe all the last half mile which marke.d his second success here. Verdi Loon, the other Parsons color bearer, showed the way at all stages of the fifth race, despite racing extremely wide in the stretch. After an exhibition of questionable tactics by jockey G. Williams, Thats the Time got home a length in front of the colts engaged in the second race. He led throughout but seriously interfered with Receiver in the stretch. Banker Brown annexed the initial race in a canter from Huzzas, while Benecia and May Girl were called upon to race at their best in the stretch to earn brackets. For rough riding in the first race today, jockey G. Williams was set down for the remainder of the meeting. Jockeys J. Berg and G. Abel were each fined 5 for a similar offense yesterday. For disobedience while at the post today, jockey K. Noe was set down for the remainder of the meeting by starter Dean. P. Reuter, acting for IT. P. Stearns, sold Luminist at private sale to F. A. Sharkey previous to his departure from Hawthorne Park. Jockey E. Hileman will go from here to Timonium, Md., on Saturday night. Jockey C. Eames remained here to ride out some engagemnets and will depart tomorrow night for Niagara Falls, Ont. Jockey W. Taylor plans to go from here to Aurora, 111. A. N. Elrod was an arrival today and will remain for the remainder of the meeting. He will superintend the shipment of the stables going from here to Maple Heights. Al Woodman will ship his four head racing here to Latonia, Ky., next week. Jim Robertson and J. M. Booker will ship from here to Wheeling, W, Va., and from there to Maple Heights. Among the jockeys leaving here Saturday night for Wheeling are L. Gray, J. Dolin, L. Partington, C. LaBelle, J. Winans, - F. Murphy, Petrecca and R. Hoffman. J. Berg will go to Maple Heights.
