OLD-TIME HORSEMAN DEAD One of the old-time horsemen, in the person of John C. Brown passed on this week as the result of an automobile accident while returning from tho Hawthorne races. Mr. Brown, who was kin to the late Capt Sam Brown, the famous horseman and Ohio River Coal operator, was well known on the southern and metropolitan tracks and tho fatality is greatly deplored by his many friends. Internment will be in Pittsburgh, Pa. j
