NOTED ENGUSH SPORTSMAN Lord Airlie, Owner of Master Robert, Arrives in United States for Polo and Epinard Races. NEW YORK, N. T., Sept. 2. Lord Airlie, another British sportsman of international repute, arrived today on the Majestic with Lady Airlie. The Airlies have come over for the polo games and the International races in which Epinard is the interesting foreign figure. They will be the guests of Maj. Frank White, manager of racing of the Laurel Park Stud Company. Major White is Lady Airlies uncle. Lord Airlie is the owner of Master Robert the famous steeplechaser that won the last Grand National at Aintree, Liverpool. A horseman of prominence in Great Britain, Lord Airlie is taking a keen interest in the Epinard races. He, in common with many other Englishmen, is strong for the perpetuation of International racing, which began last fall when Papyrus, the Epson Derby winner of 1923, met Zev, the American three-year-old sensation, in the Westchester Racing Associations epochal 00,000 match of one mile and a half at Belmont Park.
