DALLAS OCTOBER MEETING Four Stake Events and Six Races Daily Provided for State Fair of Texas. DALLAS, Texas, Sept. 2. Four stake events ; six races every week day ; cash premiums ; the finest track and barn conditions and other attractive details are particulars in connection with the thirteen-day running race meeting at the State Fair of Texas, Dallas, October 11 to 20 this year, set forth in the State Fair speed program, which has gone to horse owners all over the country. Entries for the stake races close October 1. Entries for the daily events close at 11 a. m., the day before the race, is to be run, and scratches will not be accepted after 8 :30 a. m., on the day of the race. The program starts daily at 2 p. m., and the rules of the Kentucky State Racing Commission govern. Joseph A. Murphy, one of the best known officials in the country, will be the final arbiter on all events, and Arthur McKnight will officiate as starter. The stake events are: Olmsted Trophy, ,000 added money, to be run opening day. October 11, distance five and a half furlongs. The trophy is offered by President Harry Olmsted of the Fair Association. Cotton Stakes, ,000 added money, to be run Dallas Day, Tuesday, October 14, distance one arid one-sixteenth miles. Palace-Majectic Handicap, ,000 added money, to be run Tuesday, October 21, distance, the course, seven furlongs, 150 feet. Adolphus Hotel Handicap, ,000 added money, to be run Saturday, October 25, distance, one mile. Division of moneys in the over-night races will be: 00 purses, 75 to first, 0 to second and 5 to third ; 00 purses, 00, 0 and 0 ; 00 purses, 25, 0 and 5. Six weeks before the state fair opens more than a hundred stalls had been reserved, according to Dr. A. E.
