PUBLICO FUTURITY ENTRIES Nominations for 1927 Running of 0,000 Fixture Will Close on November 10. ! BALTIMORE, Md., Sept, 4. Stake blanks for the 1927 Maryland Futurity have been distributed among horsemen and it is expected that there will be the usual liberal response in the nominating of colts and fillies for the running- of this valuable event. Nominations are to close on November 10. The stake will carry an added value of ?40,000 in addition to the entry fees. In 1921 the stake was won by Morvich, owned by Benjamin Block and ridden by A. Johnson. In 1922 it was necessary to divide the race due to the number of starters. The first division was won by Blossom Time, owned by the Idle Hour Stock Farm and ridden by A. Johnson. The second division was won by W. S. Kilmers filly, Sallys Alley, ridden again by A. Johnson. Each division carried an added value of 0,000. In 1923 the stake was won by Beau Butler, owned by the Idle Hour Stock Farm and ridden by G. W. Carroll. The conditions of the fixture are as follows : For two-year-olds. Entire colts and fillies. For the produce of mares served in 1924 and foaled in 1925. By subscription of 0 each, this fee to accompany the nomination or the entry shall be void. Starters to pay ,000 each. The Maryland Jockey Club to add. 0,000, of which ,000 to the second horse, ,500 to the third and ,000 to the fourth. The breeder of the winner to receive ,500, the breeder of the second horse ,000, and the breeder of the third 00 of the added money. All nominations and starting fees to the winner. An additional ,000, of which ,000 to the owner and ,000 to the breeder of the winner, will be added by the Maryland Jockey Club if the colt or filly is the produce of a mare served in Maryland and foaled there. Weight, 122 pounds. If either sire or dam have not produced a winner at the time of the closing of entries an allowance of 3 pounds will be made if claimed at the time of closing of entries. If neither sire nor dam have produced a winner at the time of closing of entries, an allowance of 5 pounds will be made if so claimed. One mile. If the produce of a mare is dropped before the first of January, 1925, or if there is no produce, or if the produce is dead when dropped, or if twins are dropped, the entry of such mare is void and the fee will be returned if reported to the Maryland Jockey Club by September 15, 1925.
