LATONIA TURF NOTES LATONIA, Ky., Sept 22. Stuart Polk and" U. S. Wishard were included among todays visitors. The former is here for the purpose of securing several horses for a winter campaigning. J. B. Respess has secured second call on the services of jockey G. Ellis. Jockey E. Pool cancelled his riding engagements owing to a badly swollen eye, an injury he received Saturday when struck by a clod while riding. Charles Trotter arrived from Windsor with Ferguson, Mayor Carrel, Metson and Blue Goose. The horses that Tom Hayes brought recently from Lexington included Moore field. La Planche do Briante, Down Town, Winter Street and Lady Trilby. Trainer James McClelland notified Col. M. J. Winn today that he had arranged to ship My Play from Saratoga Tuesday morning. The colt is coming here to fill his engagement in the Latonia Cup to be run next Saturday. August Belmont, chairman of the New . York Jockey Club, has wired Col. Winn to reserve four stalls for the horses he intends to ship here. Mr. Belmont has entries in tho International Special, the Latonia Cup and th Latonia Championship.
