; i I I ! l s l ; 1 I JOCKEY CRUMP AND EPINARD LATONIA, Ky., Sept. 30. Willie Crump, who a few years ago was one of the leading American riders and who is now employed as groom by one of the Latonia stables, was one of the first to ride Epinard as a yearling and a two-year-old in France. He went to France with jockey Everett Haynes and it was Crump who was first assigned to saddle duty on the great French colt Crump said today he could not understand the Aqueduct race in whrch Epinard came from behind as he usually breaks fast and holds early pace to the finish. Haynes and Crump have not seen each other since the latter returned to the United States three years ago and they will hold a reunion when the French horse and his jockey arrives at Latonia Thursday.
