HOW EPINARD WAS BEATEN Here is the finish of the mile International Special No. 2 run at Aqueduct. This was. one of the greatest races ever witnessed in this country and Epinard is shown on the outside, with Ladkin on the inside, and Wise Counsellor following the pair of them. This ,was snapped a stride from the finish, and an idea of the ground that was closed by the French colt is had, when it is known that he came from behind Zev, the horse that is shown lengths away from the first three. Epinard, Ladkin, WiseGounsellor and other Ameri- can stars are now preparing for the International Special No. 3 to be run at Latonia next Saturday.
