BLACK GOLD OUT FOR YEAR Injured Foot to Keep Kentucky Derby Winner Out of International Special No. 3. LATONIA, Ky., Oct. C Black Gold, the winner of four Derbys this year, including the Golden Jubilee Kentucky Derby, will not race again this year. There was keen disappointment when this announcement reached the admirers of the great black racer, as it was confidently expected that Black Gold would be a certain starter in the International Special No. 3, to be run next Saturday. Black Golds absence from the race will be due to a bad left fore foot that has failed to yield to treatment The colt came out of his last race lame and trainer Hanley Webb believed the soreness was only temporary, but his mind was disabused of this idea when the colt continued to limp. Saturday Dr. Haggard, of Lexington, was called, but he could hold out no hope that Black Gold would be able to race again this year.
