Wlien Newell W. won at Churchill Downs November 9, 1920, and paid 70.20 straight in the mutuels, Pullux was second and Peggy C. third. D. E. D., Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The backer of Bedstone lost Bookmakers do not pay on a mutuel field horse unless it runs to the place for which it was backed. O. J. M., Chicago. When two or more horses owned by different persons, but trained by the same man, are entered and started in a race, they are coupled in the bettmg as an entry.
