DENY SALE OF FORT ERIE Niagara Racing Association Saya No Truth in Report That A. M. Orpen Has Purchased It. There have been numerous rumors during the last few months regarding the probable sale of the Fort Erie race track, opposite Buffalo, N. Y., which is controlled and operated by the Niagara Racing Association. Only recently, on November 18, a report emanating from Toronto, was to the effect that A. M. Orpen, who controls the Kenilworth, Dufferin and Long Branch tracks, had purchased the Fort Erie track. No such sale, however, was consummated, the Niagara Racing Association announced, denying emphatically that Mr. Orpen had ever approached any of tho stock holders of the track in relation to purchasing their interests, and they have never offered to sell to anybody any portion of the Stock o that organization.
