STARTER J. F. MILTON ILL Forced to Go to Havana Hospital Probably Victim of Appendicitis Mrs. Milton 111. HAVANA, Cuba, Dec. 4. Instead of resuming his duties as starter today at the winter racing meeting at Oriental Park, James F. Milton went to the Anglo-Saxon Hospital for observation. His physician, Dr. Laine, fears that he is a victim of appendicitis. Mrs. Milton is also ill and is a patient at the same hospital. Mr. Milton returned Tuesday evening to Havana, complained after reaching the hotel of feeling ill. He was at Oriental Park on Wednesday, but remained less than an hour. Dr. Laine is hopeful that Mr. Milton will escape a surgical operation. While Mr. and Mrs. Milton are being observed there is another attache of Oriental Park in the same hospital. George Mills, CO, whose home is in Bay Shore, Long Island, is in a dying condition, according to his physician. Mr. Mills has long been a victim of diabetes. He has been clocking since the establishment of Oriental Park. His wife is in New York. Mr. II. D. Brown is seeing to it that all patients are receiving every attention.
