CONFIRM DADE PARK SALE James Ellis of. Owensboro, Ky., Now Sole Owner To Hold Fall Meeting There. OWENSBORO, Ky., Dec. 23. The sale of the property, Dade Park, today was confirmed by Referee Dean in bankruptcy, to James Ellis, of this city. Mr. Hllis gave his check for 3,000 to the Ohio Valley Banking and Trust Company, this figure being the purchase price of the course, containing 210 acres of land and appurtenances, located in Henderson county, near Evansville, Ind. The property was bid in several days ago by the Ohio Valley Banking and Trust Company. The sale, set for exceptions today, and there being none filed by the creditors, Referee Dean confirmed the proceedings. Mr. Ellis, following the transfer of the property to him, stated that he is now the sole owner, although he has agreed to sell one-third of his interest to Robert Hunter. Mr. Ellis said it was his intention to conduct a race meeting at Dade Park during the year of 1925. Application for dates, it was said, would be made to the Kentucky State Racing Commission at the meeting of that body next August. The contemplated meeting is to be held during the autumn. Dade Iark was erected in 1922, and held but one. meeting.
