Won driving; second and third the same. SLY FOX, away forwardly and saving ground on the turns, came fast through the stretch and won drawing clear. LITTLE LESS showed a good order of speed and made a game finish. JACK LEDI, outrun and hampered several times, closed a gap and finished with a rush. KIRKWOOD was away forwardly and was forced wide when entering the stretch, but finished with a rash and won going away. SCAMPER alternated in forcing and setting the pace, but gave way when the winner challenged. NORFORD HONEY was outrun early, but came to the inside when entering the stretch and finished fast. CADMUS closed up much ground on the outside after beginning in tight quarters and being shuffled to the rear. DR. JOHNSON set a good pace and tired as usual. BANTAM forced the early pace, but was tiring in the stretch after taking the lead. SILVER MAID was bumped on the first turn and made up considerable ground iu the last half mile. FREDDIE FEAR saved ground on the turns and finished gamely. DONATELLO rated gamely, but tired from pacemaking. ARRAVAN closed up ground from the far tarn. COLONEL MATT tired after showing speed. PUBLISHER began in a tangle and was much used in gaining the lead and tired near the end. ELIZABETH K. closed a gap and was gaining rapidly in the final eighth. KNIGHTHOOD had no mishaps. LADY GORHAM was unprepared at the start, but rushed into the lead in the first quarter and tired in the stretch. The latter ran a good race and made a resolute finish. HALU finished fast from a slow beginning. AVOOD LADY showed speed, but tired in the final quarter. MARTHA L. made up some ground in the last half mile. DOUBTFUL and PUD quit badly.
