PLANS RETURN TO RACING Britton, Former Jockey, Trainer and Owner, to Re-enter the Sport Next Year. NEW YORK, N. Y., Dec. 30. Victor F. Britton is to return to racing next year after an absence of four years. It was in 1891-92 and 93 that Vic Britton was one of the best of American jockeys. During those years he rode for. David Gideon, Dan Honig, John Hyland and other owners. From a jockey he graduated to the training ranks and later campaigned a string of his own with a full degree of success. It was four years ago that Britton deserted the turf for commerce and he invented and manufactured an automobile accessory that grew into a big business. Now he has heard the call of the turf again. He has disposed of his business at a considerable profit and he promises to show his racing silks again. Mr. Britton is in the market for some horses and his welcome back to the sport will be a hearty one.
