E. R. BRADLEY AN OFFICER Elected Vice-President of Business Mens Racing Association No Free Badges. NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 30 At a meeting of the directors of the Business Mena Racing Association, held last night, the resignation of Wilson Williams was accepted and B. R. Bradley made a drector and elected to the vice-presidency. The board of directors, in addition to transacting other business, passed an iron-clad resolution abolishing the custom of free badges to othey than owners, trainers, jockeys and newspaper reporters. With a view of having the extensive improvements at Fair Grounds completed for the opening on New Years Day, the huge force of workingmen will labor at night. The contractors are sanguine that the work will be completed in time for the opening. The community house, which has been ready for some time, will have its formal opening on the evening of January 2. An extensive entertainment program has been provided, a number of the foremost vaudeville houses having contributed some of their best acts for the occasion. One of the most notables, here interested in the good work that Messrs. Bradley and Schleider are attempting for the welfare of the boys on the race tracks, is Archbishop Shaw, who visited the community house recently and expressed his hearty approval of the project.
