Won easily: second and third driving. DOTBLE TIP jumped in good style and. after being saved under restraint, moved up rapidly in tlie last eighth and, passing PECCANT, won under restraint. PECCANT raced into the lead after going one turn of the field and made a game finish, but pulled up lame. FANE LADY jumped and raeed well all the way. IIOCYHXnNM. after being a forward contender, tired in the final drive. TRAPSTICK was well ridden all the way. BLACK FOX raced well. STOCKMAR unseated his rider after taking the ninth jump. SISTER SlE worked her way through on the inside and made a game finish, lut was tiring in the final strides. FREEDOMS CALL raced close up throughout and was going fastest of all at the finish. STAY ON ran well and saved ground on the turns. MITSKALLONGE. off t-lowly. was mu.-h used racing into :i forward position, and tired in tlie last quarter. POOR SPORT closed a gap and ELEMENTAL was forced wide on all the turns. LESTER DOCTOR was fractious at the barrier and quit in the stretch. SWOOP raced in near pursuit of the leaders until rounding the last turn, then took the I lead at the eighth post, and won easing up. ZEOD showed the most speed from the start to the stretch 1 and finished resolutely. PHEASANT closed a big gap and out finished LIGHT VIEW. The latter was j forced wide on the turn3 and also closed a big gap. HERBERT finished fast. MISS BLAZE was 5 forced wide for the entire race and was weakly ridden. BECKY SUE displayed early speed and was 1 eased up when beaten. LOG FIRE raeed well. The latter was forced to race extremely wide all the way, but finished 1 fast and" gamely. MILLWKK, off slowly, gradually improved his iMisition and finished fastest of f all. OOI.DPIECE set a fast pace to the last eighth and tired. FINLAND was forced back whi! I re iinding the last turn, but came again through the- stretch. DAMON RCNVON tired in the last quarter. JOY SMOKE raced RED WINGFIELD into retirement in the first half mile and drew away into a good lead after entering the stretch, but was under hard riding at the end to maintain his position. TEN MINUTES followed the leaders close up on the inside under slight restraint in the early running and was Fhuffled back to near last place when turning out of the back stretch, but moved up rapidly when clear and was wearing the winner down at the end. SUNSINI saved ground on the first turn, but was cut off and forced back, then gained steadily after entering the stretch, where he finally tired. ROMAN BACHELOR raced forwardly for three-quarters and tired. MARTINGALE had no mishaps. BALBOA was weakly ridden. RED WINGFIELD set a fast early pace and quit badly. Scratched— 88714 Setting Sun, 96. JOHNNY JEWELL, iiddenly improved, disoayed the most speed to the stretch and made a game finish. CALEMBOUR raced prominently and finished well in the final drive. DEMIJOHN had a rough race. DOCTOR JIM suffered from interference while going down the buck stretch and could never recover. RECHABITE retired after going five-eighths. Overweights — Valentino, 3 pounds; Rechabite, 3.
