May 14— K. It. Brad-leys Breakfast Bell, coupled with Buck, was the winner over a good band in the one mile feature on Churchill Downs program. She finished in advance of Boon Companion with Buck in third place, the latter just beating-out King Nadi. the heavily backed favorite. The Bradley pair figured prominently for the entire trip and Breakfast Bell after taking the lead held her opponents safe to the end. The race held additional interest because of tlie tart that Boon Companion and King Nadi are Derby prospects and held to be among the certain starters. Their respective showings was pot of Kentucky Dei by standard c.nd they will have to improve considerably on this showing to be regarded seriously. Boaa Coenpanlop raced forwardly throughout but King Nadi was a disappointment. He dropped out of it in the first quarter and had to race wide thereafter. The winner ran well and moved up to Little Visitor steadily, catching her in tie- last sixteenth, but was unable to draw father away than a —ck. The two-year-old race brought an upset with the victory of Dolly Bay. She was lucky to escape the interference that usu ally oecurcs in these sprints and she held on long enough to outstay Omnia, with Valence in third place. Kmancipation, the favorite, had her chances destroyed when the others began boring in after the sart. She had an inner rail position and Fields had to take her back. Valence also was caught in the jam and both were in last place when straightened out. The third race, engaging ordinary ones at a mile and a sixteenth, found Links getting up in the last few strides f win from Miss I.ahe. with Breechloader in third place.
