Oo Koin. as usual, began slowly. but made his customary bid during the run home and was a creditable third. Summerlike conditions prevailed today and Indies Day attracted such a large number of the fair sex that the attendance was the largest of the week. After racing within striking distance of the leader to the stretch. Small Star shook off Melvina in the final eighth to win the sixth with much to spare. Melvina was tir-inR and doing her hist at the end to save second from the fast-finishing Waukeag. Ked Heart came from the rear in the stretch to beat the others -home. Destiny. the early leader, tired badly in the stretch run. Remnant proved to be easily best of the platers which faced the barrier in the second. The Potter representative drew away with little effort in the run home after following the pace of Carlos Enrique to the stretch. In the final drive the latter saved second place from the fast-finishing Lorena I.. Showing the way by a comfortable margin at all stages.
