Albert Sabbath, uaoctetad with the Hawthorne management, was an arrival from Chicago. J. H. M:nligin. president of the Niagara Jockey Ilub, was among the a rivals. He will be here for several days. Every lending daily newspaper. Including many of the leading magazines, are represented by staff corrcs|mndents. I,. McAtee. C. Turner and K. I-egerc, who will have mounts in the Derby, were arrivals during the afternoon from New York. The license committee was busy this morn- tng and issued licenses to all the eastern trainers and jockeys who came with the 1 » rby starters. Robert Hunter, former member of the Kenturky State Racing Commission Ub4 at present extensively as.-oeiated with Dade Park, was an arrival with lata party from Kvansville. He stated that the extensive improvements intended for DaaarS Park are under way and that -v.r thinp will be con-pitted long before tiie opening. The New Orleans delegation, which got in this morning, was an extensive one and in-eluded Robert S. Kddy, Jr.. general manager of the J.-ff.-rson Park track; Plaeide I-rig- , gerio. William Keefe. John J. Voelkel, O. B. j Harris, B. IS. urran, Al Midler. Joseph Carroll, J. Kemp Ridgely, i Jeorge Plant, A. B, Wheeler and others. Maanger Kddy will i remain for some time.
