MUCH ACTIVITY AT AURORA Trainers Getting Charges Ready for Meeting Opening Next Week — Owners on Hand. AURORA, 111., May 23.— Exposition Park, which will open its gates here June 4 to usher in racing in this vicinity, was a scene j of activity this morning, the various owners and trainers getting their charges ready for i the inaugural. From all indications there will be many good horses here, among them Osprcy, the consistent performer that races for the Leslie Stable ; Brave Bob, which J. C. Ferris had hopes of winning the Louisiana Derby, and Balboa, which has showed handicap ability ; Clarence, the fast sprinter from the stable of H. C. Shimp, who races under the name of the International Stable; King of the Spa, winner of the Presidents Cup at the Miami meeting. There are approximately 200 horses on the grounds now with several hundred more ex-p ■■ ted at the close of Maple Heights and l»uisville meetings. The management has sent out word to the various places for owners not to ship here until fully assured that they can be taken care of, as every stall available has been applied for.
