HAWTHORNE STAKES CLOSED Judge Joseph A. Murphy arrived in Chi-cago Sunday, after a visit to Belmont Park and Batonia in the interest of the stake events which closed on Saturday. June 0. Judge Murphy will remain in Chicago from now until the opening of the races at Hawthorne, on Thursday. July 2. and which will icontlnue for fift.-eight days. Judge Murphy reports generous nil miss to the stake entries and Is confident that many of the star r.u rs of the country will bo seen in the Chicago Derby, Chicago ffrrrfal and other big events to be run at Hawthorne. i
