STORMY DAY AT BROOKLYN Thunderstorms, Rain and Hail Interrupt the Sport — Main Race Falls to Doc McMahon. CLEVELAND, Ohio. June 15.—J. Hectors Dor McMahon accounted for the .seventh and final race, which attracted the best field at Brooklyn Park this afternoon. At the end he won with considerable to spare from Fair Break. Little Clair was a distant but easy third. Bevil Girl raced in closest pursuit of Doc McMahon in the early stages. Commencing; the last quarter Fair Break challenged and headed the winner momentarily. Taden then let out a wrap on the Towton Field gelding and he drew away again to a dicisivc victory in the stretch. At the outset of the afternoon conditions were most favorable. A good midweek day crowd was on hand, including many visiting Rotarians here for the convention. The proceedings began with a dash for juveniles and resulted in a rousing finish, in which Destiny outgamed Kdith Gibson. The pacemaker, Virge, displayed her accustomed burst of early speed and showed the way throughout the second event. Following the running of this race a terrific thunderstorm broke over the course, accompanied by hail, and the running of the third race was delayed ten minutes. Omega and Kentucky Rose had the contest between them practically throughout the running cl the third and the fcrmer had the most in reserve for the final test. A
