AURORA TURF NOTES AURORA, 111., June 15. The value of the skull caps to riders was again clearly demonstrated in the last race Saturday, when jockey Hebert was thrown heavily when Elizabeth K. fell. The lad, who was wearing a cap, fell on his head, but suffered no injuries and was up immediately. The Nevada Stock Farm Stable has nine two-year-olds quartered at the course. They are : Orangeade, Greenswood, Island Fairy, Free Miller, Hank Monk, Tamale Dick, War Bells, Ida ODay and Wild Bee. The older horses of the establishment are stabled at Hawthorne. Stuart Polk, whose string is racing at Brooklyn Park, was a visitor and was looking the situation over with a view to shipping here later. Jockey S. Veale, who is under contract to Charlie Koerner, had his first mount of the meeting today and it was a winner, he riding Mission Chimes to victory in the first race. W. R. Padgett will ship the extensive string which carries his colors to Raceland at the conclusion of this meeting.
