Dick Welles Selections At Havre De Grace H. r. WHITNKY ENTRY— SI NM EI [ JIAPA. PYREX and FRESCO comprise the Whit- ney entry in the opening race, and either one of them should be able to be returned : th- winner. lYKKX ran a good second his i last out. FRESCO has never started, hut, is said to be fast. SlXMKT, has started! only once to date, and that was at Miami She did not fare so well then, but since has | had quit.- a few fast trials. On the strength of these trials she is looked for to place. • G-UAPA is now Hearing form and may be the one to save third money for her stable. MISS ROSERALE— WELLFIN Mat— IK. 4 Til Kit WOOD. MISS ROSEDALE ran a mighty good race, her last out at Bowie when she outfooted Searcher and Dream of the Valley. The WM ra ■ again today would find her the I winner. WELLFINDER raced fairly well: over the Florida course at Miami, and can] be expected to put up a game fight for the • purse. LEATHERWOOD is strictly a fast track sprinter and should be dose up at the finish. CAM FRKK— MABEL .— IIKST SHOT. CARE FREE won two races in a row; and then finished fourth in his last out. during the meeting just closed at Bowie. The i company he meets here is not anywhere near that which opposed him in his last race and he should have the easiest kind of j a time winning this number. MABEL I appears to be next best to CARE FREE in i the race, and will very likely cause him the most trouble. BKST SHOT has been turn- ■ ing in some fast moves, and may be able to ■tick it out to get the show money. ORESTES II.— DIST IP— NAT F.VFNS. ORESTES II. was the medium of a heavy1 play in his only start to date, which was at Jefferson Park, and he proved the easiest kind of a winner. While the elass of horses he met in his last race were not anywhere near like he meets here, he defeated them so decisivly that the race was really a remarkable one. Should he run the same good rare today he could again be returned the winner. DlST UP scored in his last two Miami starts, and is the one most feared. XAT EVENS may go well enough to get third money. ESPANOL— PLAIN DEALER-HARRY CARROLL. ESPANOL appears to be the best of those which will hook up in the fifth race. He won a nosr decision over Button Bright in his last start at the Bowie course. PLAIN DEALERS recent races have to be thrown out in figuring the probable winner, as it is said that he is now in good form. HARRY CARROLL has been showing improvement in his recent races and may be the one to race third. LA SOU POSTMAX— MINTSTICK. LANOIL has had a long rest since the Havana meeting closed, and should now be in fine fettle. He hasnt much to beat here, unless it should be POSTMAN. This racer fared pretty well at the Jefferson Park meeting, and should be the one to cause the winner the most trouble. MlMTSTlCKj was a failure at Miami, but he always was trying and finished in the money many times. If h - races as well today, he should be the one to get the show. VOLC AN O— IN VIGOR ATOR— BROTH KRLY LOVE. VOLCANO has been a long time in earning brackets, but is said to be in good form at the present, and is the one looked for to annex the concluding rac on the card. INVH30RATOR has had some good workouts since arriving from Havana, and should be the on:* to take down the place money. BROTHERLY LOVE had a long trip from the Tijuana course, and has been some time in finding his racing legs. With the rest he has had since his last appearance at Bowie he may cause the others plenty of trouble.
