Barney Be-rman of Chicago was an arrival from Lexington and announces the purchase at private sale of a two-year-old chestnut eott The Wire, by The Porter-Black Flag, see-ured from R. B. McLean. The colt was shipped here from Lexington and will make his initial start during this meeting. Joe-key J. Ressner, who rode re-cently at Huntington, had his first mount of the meeting on Nola when in the third race today.
