May 3.— Ombrage scored her second victory of the meeting in annexing the fifth race which served as the feature of the Monday card at Beulah Iark. Majestic had the winner off quickly and taking command at once kept at her all the way to retain a comfortable lead throughout. Lure of Gold raced in closest pursuit of the winner at all stages and finishing courageously held Gunsight safe for second place. The latter moved up quickly after rounding the far turn and drew near the leaders but tired when straightened out in the stretch and held a wide margin over the others for third. Air Mail proved a surprise in handily accounting for the sixth race coming from behind in the final eighth, and closing up strongly on the inside in the run home drew clear near the end. Tis Seth outstayed Cornflower for second place in the closing stages. Social Tea proved a big surprise In capturing the opening race easily. After saving ground rounding the first bend and going to the front on the back stretch, the winner never left the result in doubt. Miss Emerson outstayed Captain Burns for second place. Little Betty registered a handy win in the second race, coming to the outside of Black Sand, the pacemaker, in the stretch to draw away with little effort. Black Sand held on well for second place with Black Friday utstaying Ciceronian in the final test for the minor portion of the purse. W. O. Thompsons Pickens, scored an easy-victory in the third race. When the field approaching the first turn with Nevertheless in the lead and lapped by Logfire. went extremely wide carrying Logfire out with him, Pickens raced on the inside and quick to take advantage of the opening next to the inner rail drew into the lead when straightened out on the back stretch and held the race safe thereafter. Logfire came again and disposed of the others for the place in the stretch run. Sinvona. saving ground next to the inner rail in the run home just got up to be third in the last stride. The Missouri Stables Rebeck accounted for the fourth race outgaming Shuffle in the last few yards in a driving finish. Shuffle had the most speed to the stretch but could not stall off Rebeck at the end. Merry-was best of the others for third money. .
