MARTHA RODS TO THE FORE Proves Best in Ladies Day Fea ¬ ture at Beulah Park Double for Missouri Stable COLUMBUS Ohio May 10 The Missouri Stables Martha Roos accounted for the fifth race which served as the principal attraction of thi Monday and ladies day card at Beu ¬ lah Park The winner pained a slight ad ¬ vantage next the inner rail in the first quar ¬ ter which was retained until after rounding the far turn She drew away from her oppo ¬ nents handily during the stretch run and won liy a comfortable margin at the end Trap roe closing up strongly on the inside of Myrtle Belle in the final drive just got up in the last stride to gain second place by a nose Myrtle Belle raced in close pursuit of the leader to the stretch but began tiring in the final stages and could not withstand Traproe at the end endOneida Oneida scored a decisive victory in the opening race running away from her oppo ¬ nents with little effort after the first quarter of a mile Herbert saving ground through ¬ out shook off Frances Sharp and Bill Shaffer during the first half mile and was jia easily best of the others John Joseph cime from the rear in the run home to get the show money moneyIn In the second number Request after rac ¬ ing in close quarters and meeting with much interference went to outside of Kinburn and Blue Caddie on the turn for home and over ¬ hauling them rapidly in the stretch drew clear in the last seventy yards to score a handy victory and graduate from the maiden class Kinburn outstayed the tiring Blue Caddie for second place placeComing Coming to the outside of Huzzas the early leader and disposing of the latter in the run homo under light urging Matinee Idol scored a well earned victory in the third race Huzzas held the others safe for second place Sagamore suffered interference rounding the fat turn but disposed of Coat of Arms in the final drive for the show honors honorsAssuming Assuming command as the field was straightening out on the back stretch after rounding the first bend Mitzi McGee retained a slight lead to the end and scored handily in tho fourth race Liborio just lasted in the stretch run to stall off Cobham for second place when the latter finished resolutely next the inner rail in the run home homeLucky Lucky Run made it a uouble for the Mis ¬ souri Stable in taking the measure of his opponents after leading throughout in the sixth registering his second success of the meeting Betsy Bacon came again in the closing stages and outstayed Ranock for sec ¬ ond place
