PANDERAS EASY VICTORY Carries H P Whitneys Silks to Victory in Rosedale Stakes Daughter of Peter Pan Easily Takes Measure Measureof of Accomplish Two Year Old OldSensation Sensation of Miami NEW YORK N Y May 11 Harry Payne Whitneys Pandera a brown daugh ¬ ter of Peter Pan Dendera ridden by jockey L McAtee was an easy winner of the Roscdale Stakes of 5000 guaranteed which was the feature of the day at Jamaica this afternoon Her victory was an easy one over C Leroy Kings Miami sensation Accomplish the Rancocas Stables Granny and six other twoyearolds She added 3800 to the Whitney coffers by her victory victoryThe The twoyearolds left in good alignment and it was Sturdy Stella that was the quickest to begin Her advantage was of brief duration for McAtee sent Pandera into the lead She drew away into a safe mar ¬ gin and at no stage left the ultimate result in doubt Through the early stages H W Sages Never Again raced in closest pur ¬ suit while Accomplish was in third position over Sturdy Stella and Granny while Witchery and Playlet brought up the rear Entering the stretch Never Again began to tire back of the swift early pace and dropped back giving way to Accomplish The latter was hard ridden throughout the final eighth but could not cut down the advantage of the winner At the end McAtee glanced back over his shoulder and took a steadying hold of his mount to have her winner by four lengths Accomplish was a driving second from Granny The latter was mak ¬ ing her first start and finished courageously to hold Mijigado safe for third place The latter was added at the last minute after Jumbo from the Rancocas Stable and G D Widencrs Acquital were withdrawn withdrawnCloudy Cloudy cold and threatening conditions did not affect the attendance at Jamaica A high wind swept clouds of dust about the course which interfered with the vision of tho tail enders in the big fields fieldsJ J S Wards Indian Trail making his first start since the Miami meeting and ridden by jockey Tommy McTaggart proved a winner of the first race which attracted ten platers Driving hard to get up through the final sixteenth he outstayed H W Maxwells Camilla and G C Winfreys Camouflage The start was delayed several minutes and the field left in poor alignment Camilla was the first to show while Camouflage and Jeal were close behind her Indian Trail Continued on sixteenth pagej I MNDERAS EASY VICTORY Continued from first pise was amongst hose sov in getting into mo ¬ tion Camilla continued to show the way rounding the far turn while leal Camou ¬ flage ami The Seer were well bunched In ¬ dian Trail steadily improved his position while Yie afer being rushed up from the rear began to falter from her early efforts Camilla disposed of Camouflage in the stretch but was not equal to the task of stalling off the rush of Indian Trail The latter had a half length advantage over Camilla which in turn held Camouflage safe J ished with a rush which was carrying him fcstest of all at the end after overcoming a slow beginning interference interferenceCharles Charles Fcrraros I line Hill ridden by jockey Catrone accounted for the third race of the day which was a claiming handicap entitled the Commonwealth His victory was scored handily over Mrs M ay lands Cog ¬ wheel while Vampee from the Ilosedale K able was third The winner favored by a six pound weight allowance over his previous start showed a good effort throughout Kept close to Mie early pice established by Cog ¬ wheel he raced into the lead in the stretch and had a safe ma ruin t the end
