FIRE FAIIIY raced HOXEYNOOK into defeat in the first three-eighths and. taking the lead, held It tenaciously to outstay ANGRY MOOD The latter raced close up and, coming to the outside, finished gamely and barely failed to get up. OPT STEP was in a jam soon after the start, but closed a big gap when clear and finished close up. SOUTHERN KISS, a forward contender throughout, tired after entering the borne stretch. JOHNNY JEWELL, close up from the start, passed COLUMN when called on and, withstanding a hard drive gamely, managed to outstay the fast going DANGEROUS KITTY. The latter was rushed into the lead while racing on the outside throughout and tired, but finished reso!utely. DECLARE improved his position and was going fast at the end. FORETIME began in a tangle and showed early speed, but tired. OAFFER raced forward! and had no mishaps. COLUMN showed the most speed for five-eighths and quit. EL CANOE began slowly and raced under slight restraint for the first half mile, then raced to the leaders with a rush and secured a clear course between the two leaders in the stretch and, taking the lead when a sixteenth out. won going away. CANDYMAKER forced a good pace and passed CLARI-MONDE HOPE into the lead, but could not withstand the winner. JIMSON ran a good race. HARRY CARROLL was away slowly and made up ground. ROYAL FLAG ran well. KOSCIUSKO quit. AL BOYD pulled up lame. Scratched— 12384 Parraachenee Belle. 105; 00769 Seaman, 110. The latter would not extend himself when leaving he barrier and dropped far back, then moved up gradually and closed a big gap. WOOLWORTH sprinted into a long lead and saved ground on the turns, but tired badly in the stretch. LANOIL was going fast at the end. ZEOD closed a gap and tired.
