FORMER JOCKEY PASSES ON Clifford "Chalky" Gilbert, a well known jockey, who years ago rode for the Bradley, Spreckels and Whitehill Stables, died at Salt Lake City last Sunday, and was buried Wednesday. As a result of a fall several years ago, he was left partially paralyzed, and since then has been attending the races in a wheelchair. He had spent the winter at the Tijuana meeting.
