WANDERING MINSTREL lacked early speed, but moved up rapidly on the insrde after reaching the back stretch, but was unable to make up any ground in the last quarter. The latter appeared sore when going to the post, but closed S gap gamely. GOLDEN VOLT had no nrshaps.
