THORNCLIFFE PARK NOTES TORONTO OnL June 6 6Gene Gene Bury racing secretary for Connaught Park accepted entries for the opening day this morning at Thorncliffc and many horse ¬ men took advantage of this innovation Bury also announced that the following horse owners have obtained stable room at the above course II E Brown AV A McKin ncy H T Palmer and G K Allen their shipments coining from Akron Ohio OhioWord Word was received from New York to the effect that T J Healey head trainer for the W J Salmon and R T Wilson stables was sending a mixed carload of horses to Ottawa to augment the few that are being shipped from Thorncliffe ThorncliffeW W Zakoor purchased at private sale from L Caplan the good juvenile Ascent AscentAl Al Dunlap owner of the fast sprinter Queen Towton posted a notice asking horse ¬ men to refrain from harboring jockey Ray mony Feeney who rode during the meeting at Mount Royal Feeney is under contract to Mr Dunlap and has left his employer without consent or discharge papers papersP P E Fitzgerald will ship the horses he has in training for W J Hayes and B Segar to Hamilton on Tuesday to rest up until the opening of that meeting meetingG G W Foreman lost the services of his recent acquisition Graylings Lady which he secured via the claiming route a few days ago W G Campbell a local racing enthusi ¬ ast filed a claim in the sixth race for the Foreman filly and secured her for her entered price of 2000 Foreman made 800 on the deal in addition to second money moneyB B E Chapman who trains the horses owned by S Friedel and who had Tony Beau entered in the sixth race also filed a claim for Graylings Lady but the claim was dis ¬ missed by the stewards owing to Chapman not being an authorized agent Chapman attempted to get an agents license but more time was needed by the committee to pass upon the application
