BETTER LUCK DEFEATS GAD Irwin Representative Scores Neck NeckVictory Victory in Final Strides at atAkSarBen AkSarBen Field OMAHA Neb June 6 Better Luck from the Irwin Stable accounted for todays fea ¬ ture race at AkSarBen Field when he got home a neck in advance of Gad in the fourth race Seven fair platers went to the post and Miss Mischief and Timothy set the early pace When the stretch was reached they tired and the winner and Gad passed them to fight it out Barn Dollar finished third after racing far back to the final turn Jockey P Rennie a promising apprentice rode Better Luck which paid 51160 A good crowd turned out and the weather was sum merlike and the track fast A notice was posted on the board today stating that jockey Zucchini had been suspended for the remain ¬ der of the meeting and James Jones had his badge taken up for an altercation which occured in the jockey room after the last race Saturday SaturdayRunaway Runaway lived up to his name in the first race and ran away with the race He beat the others away and was never in danger Fiery Rose finished fast to take second place from SL Nicholas NicholasHesitation Hesitation and Frank Light staged a strong stretch duel in the second race with the former proving best Sheepshead Bay was always close up and finished third thirdLillian Lillian L took the major portion of the third purse She followed Singing Cricket closely to the stretch then came fast to take the lead and won drawing away Beauty Star was third
