FRED JRS INJURIES LATONIA Ky June 6 J C Ferris who supervises the training of S W Grants threeyearold Fred Jr made a hurried busi ¬ ness trip to Latonia Monday and departed in the afternoon for Fairmount Park Mr Ferris stated that the absence of Fred Jr from the Fairmount Park Derby was due to the fact that the colt wrenched an ankle while being worked out for the stake The injury will prevent Fred Jr from starting in the American Derby but Ferris believes the colt will be able to fill his engagement in the Latonia Derby
